FORMER BARCELONA STAR PEDRO WANTS A RETURN TO CAMP NOU

Former Barcelona forward Pedro wants to return to Camp Nou after time away, according to reports.

The player who currently plays for English Premier League giant, Chelsea FC announced that he has had initial discussions about a possible return to the Catalan giant.

Pedro spent just a season at Stamford Bridge but with a season that wasn’t impressive, he wants a return. The 28-year old forward who is currently with Spain at Euro 2016 left Barcelona last season for £22m but struggled to make a difference in a season that was largely bad for the former EPL champion.

With incoming coach Anthonio Conte taking over the helms this summer upon completing official duty for Italy at Euro 2016, one the first duties would be to convince Pedro to remain at the club. Pedro is reported to be keen on leaving. He told beIN Sports:

"Hopefully [I can return to Barcelona] but I know it's hard. I have already spoken about it with the president [Josep Maria Bartomeu] when we [Barcelona] were in the [Cup] final [when Barcelona beat Sevilla 2-0 last month] and spoke to all the people who want me there.

“It's complicated, but I've always said that I would like to retire at Barcelona. However, I know it's difficult because the years go by and the club has the best players in the world, it is a very demanding club and to return is complicated. But I do not rule it out either,” Pedro added.

The player also added that his family is from there and he has many friends in the city with fans who love him. He said he had to make the very difficult decision of returning but he knows the possibilities of playing in Chelsea are low. He still has three years on his current deal with Chelsea after 11 to 12 years in Barca, playing through the youth ranks till he joined the senior team.
