BARCA TRANSFER BAN
The latest sanction that Barcelona has received will not allow the Spanish club on either selling or buying any players for the upcoming 14 months, they will however try and appeal against the punishment but if things do not go as planned it will be a huge blow for the team of Gerardo Martino.
It will not only affect the squad inside the pitch but outside of it as well. The most obvious concern that is surrounding Barcelona and their fans is with the goalkeeping position as Valdes wants to leave the club but now will not be able to do so and Jose Manuel Pinto is not capable of being their designated shot-stopper for an entire season.
Barcelona has already gone into action trying to replace Victor Valdes with Marc- Andre ter Stegen but unless the Spanish club is capable of lifting the ban, the transfer will not be allowed to go through which is disastrous news not only for the 21 years old German goalkeeper but mostly for Barcelona who will now have to cope in some other way as they try to solve their biggest problem not only In this season but in the past few years.
The youth academy of Barcelona has been a standout quality that the club has been displaying in recent times with some young players and it is something that they are going to have to resort for as a way to bring promote younger performers into the main squad and fill in some of the problems that have been hurting the squad.
The sanction not only hurts the club in the pitch but outside of it as well because of the image that Barcelona has been promoting in the last few months with the scandal of Neymar being unfolded and now it seems like the club has been doing some other things which are considered to be illegal.
‘’More than a club’’ is the phrase that Barcelona uses to identify with their fans as they want to be considered as part of a family, as a whole but with all of these scandals and investigations being done, it might push away fans and maybe even corporate partners from the club if they don’t wipe their hands soon enough.
