BARCELONA CONSIDERING TRINCAO RECALL
Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are said to be considering whether to recall Francisco Trincao from his loan spell at Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers. MundoDeportivovia Daily Record claimed that new Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is behind the idea on the possibility of Trincao returning to the club earlier than expected next year.
Young Portuguese forward Trincao left Barcelona to join Wolves on a season-long loan deal during the summer's transfer window and the Premier League outfit has the opportunity to make the loan deal a permanent one. Wolves are still a long way from making a decision on keeping Trincao for the long-term as he's just a few months into his loan spell at the club.
Trincao, 21, has been a regular in the Wolves team this season. Wolves are one of the most in-form teams in the Premier League with four wins from their last six games. The run of 13 points from a possible 18 points has taken Wolves into the top half of the table. They are in eighth spot at the moment with 16 points from 11 league matches.
Barcelona loaneeTrincao has one goal in nine games for Wolves in all competitions, but he's yet to score or provide an assist in eight league games for the club.
The report from Portuguese media outlet Record stated that new manager Xavi Hernandez has asked Barcelona to negotiate a possible return to the Nou Camp for Trincao when the winter transfer window reopens in a matter of weeks.
The official confirmation of club legend Xavi as the new Barcelona manager was made earlier this month and the Spaniard was unveiled in front of thousands of fans on Monday. He had his first training session the day after his unveiling with 14 first team players in attendance.
