BARCELONA HIT WITH SEVERAL INJURIES

It’s safe to say that Barcelona fans won't be enablers of the international break for the foreseeable future after their players picked up injuries barely two days into the current international break.A lot of the Barcelona players have picked up injuries and the September international break is not at the halfway stage yet.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez would be hoping for positive news on the players who were injured in various UEFA Nations League games. Xavi and Barcelona have a tough run of fixtures between now and the break for this year's World Cup tournament in Qatar scheduled for November. To this effect, Xavi would be hoping for the swift return of his injured players.

New Barcelona signing Jules Kounde is one of the players to suffer an injury while on international break this month. Kounde played a little over twenty minutes of the UEFA Nations League Group A1 game between France and Austria before he had to make way for Arsenal defender William Salibadue to injury. The Frenchman is now facing race against time to be fit for Barcelona ahead of the El Clasico clash with Real Madrid next month. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona will face off for the first time on the competitive front this season on October 16.
Apart from Kounde, winger Ousmane Dembele is another Barcelona who plays for the French senior national team. Dembele has also given Xavi Hernandez a cause to worry after he felt some discomfort at the end of the 2-0 home win over Austria. It remains to be seen if Dembele will feature against Denmark in the final game for France in Group A1 of the Nations League this season.
Barcelona manager Xavi would also be worried after the Dutch duo of Memphis Depay and Frenkie De Jong picked up respective injuries. They were both injured during the 2-0 away win over Poland in Group A4 of the UEFA Nations League this season.
