BARCELONA RECEIVE €15M OFFER FOR DEPAY

Five-time European champions Barcelona have reportedly received a €15m offer for Dutch forward Memphis Depay ahead of this summer's transfer window. This is according to Spanish journalist who stated that the offer is from an unnamed Premier League club.

Depay started his Barcelona career on a positive note while compatriot Ronald Koeman was the manager, but things have changed for the worse under Xavi Hernandez who replaced Koeman towards the end of last year. Koeman was instrumental in the free transfer deal that took Depay from French team Lyon to Barcelona at the start of the season.

Ex-Manchester United and PSV Eindhoven attacker Depay was not helped by the injury he picked up at the start of the Xavi Hernandez managerial reign at the Nou Camp. By the time he returned from the injury, Barcelona had signed several attacking talents who had established themselves in the starting XI in his absence. To this effect, Depay is no longer a regular starter for Barcelona and the club could be willing to do a deal for him this summer if they receive the right offer.

Dutch international Depay is not short of interests in the media with the Premier League duo of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur set to be keen on signing him. Also, Italian giants Juventus are interested in him despite the signing of Serbian striker DusanVlahovic from Fiorentina during the January transfer window.

Depay is a regular goalscorer at both club and country as shown at French club Lyon and the Dutch national team over the past five years. To this effect, it remains to be seen if Barcelona will accept a €15m bid for the 28-year-old attacker. The Catalans might be forced to collect the said offer since he has one year left on the two-year deal he signed last summer upon joining Barcelona.
