Sergio Ramos hopes Neymar leaves Barcelona for PSG
Real Madrid superstar Sergio Ramos would welcome the prospect of seeing Neymar leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The World Cup winner admits that the departure of Neymar would make life easier for Los Blancos, who will be defending their La Liga and Champions League crowns next term.
Neymar has been linked with a world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks with the French giants prepared to trigger his release clause which stands at a staggering £195m. Despite this, the Brazil international showed no signs of frustration on the playing field as he set up two goals in the 3-2 win over Los Blancos in the International Champions Cup on Sunday.
Following the game, Ramos admitted that every player has the right to choose his own future, but he would be content seeing Neymar away from the Barcelona ranks, he said: "I do not know, everyone is free to choose their future. I hope [he leaves]. It would be less of a problem for us. I changed the shirt with him and I hope it is the last one I have used with Barca."
As a result of their victory, Barcelona were awarded the International Champions Cup for the United States edition while Real Madrid ended the bottom of the lot after they managed just a draw and two defeats in their three pre-season outings. Talismanic captain Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to return to first-team training later on this week, but he is eager to take on his former club Manchester United in the European Super Cup in Macedonia on August 8.
Real Madrid thereafter face Barcelona again in a two-legged Spanish Super Cup tie, and the exit of Neymar could help Los Blancos gain the advantage prior to the clash. The former Santos graduate has always found himself behind Lionel Messi in terms of recognition, and this appears to have gained his interest in Paris Saint-Germain, where he could be the main orchestrator in the attack.
