WILL BARCELONA SIGN HAALAND THIS SUMMER?

It is no longer news that Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are highly interested in signing a new striker this summer and their major transfer target for that position is Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland. The young striker is currently the most sought-after player in the world right now and he is reportedly still thinking about where he will be at next season.

Haaland has been at Dortmund since joining from Salzburg and has become the club's attacking weapon since moving to Germany, but his time at the Bundesliga giants could be nearing an end as he is linked with a couple of other clubs across Europe.

He has been linked with both Manchester clubs; United and City but Barcelona appear to be the most serious club interested in his signing compared to other clubs, and they have made a formal approach to the player, his club, and his agent to that effect.

Barcelona decided against renewing Luis Suarez's contract at the Camp Nou and allowed him to leave the club in the summer. The Uruguayan joined Barca's direct rivals Atletico Madrid and the Catalan giants have since been looking for the perfect replacement for the former Liverpool striker who was a loyal servant to the club for years.

Haaland's agent Nino Raiola recently met with the Narcoma board and engaged in discussions about his client's possible move to Spain, but nothing about the negotiations has been released to the public yet. The Imminent departure of Sergio Agüero from Manchester City is enough reason for them to be in the hunt for a new striker this summer, but it remains to be seen if they will make a formal move for Haaland.

Barca's second attacking option is Lyon's Memphis Depay and they will look to sign the Netherlands international forward in case a deal for Haaland falls through.
